Annual Day

The Annual Day 2020 for Sarat Bose Road Campus was held on 6th February at Nazrul Mancha from 10.30 am – 2 pm. Padmasri Saikhom Mirabai Chanu , an outstanding personality among Indian weightlifters along with other sportspersons were the eminent guests to grace the august occasion. The programme began with the invocation of the goddess Saraswati by lighting the lamp and the felicitation of the distinguished dignitaries and then gradually move down to the prize distribution ceremony in which the students of all the three departments who excelled in various curricular and co-curricular activities were awarded. Following this , a bouquet of dances and drama was presented before the audience as a part of the cultural programme keeping our culture and tradition in mind. It began with a Ganesh Vandana. Besides this there were other dance programmes on Classical and Folk. The tiny tots of the primary section rekindled the spark of unity in diversity through ‘ Mile Sur Mera Tumhara’. The children of the Secondary section celebrated the magical touch of a village fair on the simple rustics with much mirth and merry-making. The play ‘Cinderella’ was once again an observation of good over evil. ‘Kalmrigaya’ a part of the epic Ramayana celebrated and further enriched our tradition. There was even a tribute to the legendary bollywood singers through a retrospective. The programme came to a close with a Naman to the Vighana Vinayaka seeking his blessings towards a fresh beginning and undisruptive peace.
